In asking Derek about his CREATIVITY behind his UNIQUE REAL ESTATE SUCCESS story that has lead him to OPEN THE FIRM THE PARTNERS Real Estate, a little grin appears on his face as he tells a few stories about his past more complicated marketing hurdles he faced while helping lead the McDonald’s Restaurants Marketing Department in 2002. McDonald's was faced with intense scrutiny as Hollywood launched the blockbuster SUPERSIZED movie in 2004. "Try to explain to a leadership board of men that the burgers and fries that had made them so successful over the past 35 years needed a lighter choice option (salads for moms) and if they at the time didn’t do something quickly, the government was threatening health warnings on French Fry packaging similar to label warnings on cigarette’s". Not the easiest task in turning around the McMega giant for Derek and the team at the time. Having SENIOR LEADERSHIP positions in leading ADVERTISING AGENCIES with various TOP INTERNATIONAL brands, it was in 2009/2010 that Derek decided to start taking his ideas that GENERATED SUCCESS for the companies he worked for channeling his PASSION, CREATIVITY AND WORK EFFORT into REAL ESTATE. Now after 10 INCREDIBLE YEARS of success and recently Derek coming off his best sales year of over $191 Million sold in 2020, while backing up 2020 with currently over $175 Million in 2021, Derek has now made his DREAM a reality in LAUNCHING THE PARTNERS REAL ESTATE.

Matt Sadler - PARTNER
Matt is a PRIVATE REAL ESTATE LENDER and has acted in various mortgage broker & lender roles since 2004, holding both his sub-brokers license and brokerage license through the BC Financial Services Authority (BCFSA). In 2011 he established Lender Connect Mortgage as a vehicle through which he could deploy capital for one of Canada’s largest private mortgage funds. Matt built, from scratch, a residential lending program for this fund beginning in 2011, helping double the funds mortgage portfolio while significantly improving the fund’s yield to investors. Joining The Partners Real Estate and since founding Lender Connect, he has successfully deployed over $500m in private residential mortgage loans and is able to manage all aspects of the mortgage pipeline – from sourcing to funding to post-funding administration. He has received national awards for Private Lending and is an active participant in the mortgage brokerage industry.
